“In the Book Judges, Gideon asks God how to choose his men for battle. The Lord told Gideon to take his men down to the river and have them drink. The men who flopped down on their bellies and drank like dogs were no good to him. Gideon watched as some of his men knelt down and drank with their heads watching the horizon, spears in hand. Though they were few, they were the men he needed.”
Through every long day and hard battle, we must always keep our eyes on the horizon.
In today’s world, distractions are everywhere, constantly pulling our attention away from what matters. I know I’m guilty of it too—whether it’s a notification popping up, a text I didn’t need, or just the fatigue that creeps in no matter how much caffeine I throw at it. These distractions are always clawing at us, trying to steer us away from our goals. Goals like staying fit, being ready for whatever comes our way, staying sharp, and taking care of the people who depend on us.
If we’re honest, there’s never been a successful conqueror who strolled into victory without focus and preparation. The same goes for defenders. You can’t protect what matters when you’re distracted or not looking. That’s the mindset behind our Horizon design. It’s inspired by the reality of always staying vigilant—scanning the horizon, knowing that there’s always a threat waiting to strike.

Keeping your eyes on the horizon doesn’t mean tunnel vision or staying stuck in your comfort zone. It’s about staying vigilant, no matter where your journey takes you.
“Head on a swivel”. That’s something we heard over and over in the field, and it’s at the heart of the Horizon design. Life is full of distractions designed to make us vulnerable. If we lose our focus, we risk not only our own downfall, but also the safety of those who count on us. But by staying sharp, keeping our eyes on the horizon, we stay ready for whatever comes next.

It takes around 100 hours to bring each design to life - starting with a sketch, and ending with the product in your hands to keep you focused.
So, we take moments to pause, refocus, and reset our minds. Keeping our eyes on the horizon reminds us that there’s always a danger, and we need to be ready for it. We stay prepared, because the fight doesn’t stop, even when we get tired. Life can hit hard, and it’s up to us to stay vigilant. So we want to encourage and also admonish you… Be ready, stay prepared, keep your powder dry, and your mind sharp.
Because death, literally or figuratively, is just beyond the horizon. And we’d much rather hear your victory story, than your funeral song.
So keep your Eyes on the Horizon.
