The only way to stop violent bad people is violent good people.

Whether you like it or not, violence has always been part of human nature, and it always will be. It decided which civilizations rose and which fell. The enemy does not stop preparing because you laid down your weapons and chose to be harmless. That is exactly what he hopes for: a world where good men refuse to stand up for themselves and the people they love.

Harmlessness is a surrender made in advance, in the hope that bad men will show mercy. They will not. There is no version of pacifism that preserves peace. Being harmless leaves you open, and it leaves everyone who depends on you open with you.

Shooting and weapons handling are the foundation. Staying violent goes further than the trigger.

Real readiness also means a sharp mind, a prepared spirit, hand-to-hand skills and TCCC. The more disciplines you train, the better your odds on the day it matters.

On the days you do not feel like training, remember one thing: some day your skills may be tested. It could be tomorrow. It could be years from now. When that moment comes, you are ready or you are not, and what you do today decides which.

You owe it to yourself and to the people you care about to be ready. You do not know when the test comes. One thing is certain: the enemy gives no second chance to the complacent and unprepared.

Readiness is a decision, made long before anything tests it. So train today. Help others along the way. When everything around you falls, be the one who still stands.
