But a few men scooped the water up with their palms, spears in hand and eyes watching the horizon. Though they were few, they were the men he needed.

From Sketch to Print
Drawn by Hand
Every design starts with a story before it gets a single line: a psalm, a scene from Shakespeare, soldiers drinking at a river. Then comes the pencil.
Around a hundred hours pass between the first sketch and the final artwork. Most of them go into details a first glance misses, like a Persian lion or a star field through night vision. Plenty are never explained, on purpose.
The finished artwork is screen-printed in Germany, one color at a time.
