VIOLENCE OF ACTION
An operator from the Belgian SAS once told us how his best friend died. A night jump, the parachute tangled, the ground coming up in total darkness. He fought the lines all the way down, even when he was already so low that a free canopy could no longer have saved him. He did not survive, but he did not lose either.
