THE AFGHAN GIRL WHO SHOT 2 TERRORISTS
Qamar Gul was around 15 years old this year when Taliban fighters threatened her family.
The enemy group was after Qamar’s father first, because the family supports the official Afghan government. When her mother fought back against the attack, both parents and another family member were shot in front of the teenager and her 12-year-old brother. That was the moment Qamar decided to take on the Taliban.
She picked up an AK-47 that had been in the family for years and that she had already trained with. With it she shot the two terrorists who had killed her parents, and wounded several more. The local police chief confirmed the incident.
According to reports, more Taliban fighters then came back to the village to attack the house, but villagers and pro-government militia drove them off. Qamar and her brother were taken to the provincial capital for their own safety.
