Every time I catch myself getting frustrated or feeling negative, I remind myself just how lucky we truly are.
The fact that we’re alive is nothing short of a miracle. Think about it: last night, you could’ve had a heart attack, fallen asleep, and never woken up. Gone. Just like that. Life is fragile, and yet, we often take it for granted.
Or consider someone in their 20s who loses a leg in an accident. Can you imagine that they would KILL just to be able to walk again for a day or two? To feel the ground beneath their feet, or to run, to experience the freedom that we sometimes don’t even think about. We can run, jump, and move without even thinking twice, and yet, we rarely stop to appreciate it.

Now think about the 90-year-old millionaire, nearing the end of their life. They’ve spent a lifetime accumulating wealth, yet they have only a few years left. Don’t you think they’d trade ALL their millions just for the chance to be 25 again, to relive their youth, to have more time?
The things you take for granted are an unattainable dream for others.
We are incredibly fortunate, yet it’s easy to forget. We get caught up in the daily grind, stressing over the small stuff, and lose sight of what we truly have. Let’s take a moment to recognize it: our health, our time, our ability to move, to truly live.
That feeling when you finally see the ocean after a long car ride, your feet sinking into the sand, the waves cooling your skin. The joy of playing with your kids, laughing so hard with your friends that you almost pee yourself (a few drops came out). To feel the warmth of the sun, to smell the earth after rain, to watch the sun rise, just one more time. There are people in this world who would give EVERYTHING for that. It’s easy to overlook, but we’re already living a life that less fortunate ones can only dream of. Never forget how lucky you really are.
Your cup runneth over already.
And from here? From here, it only goes up.
