4 REASONS HARD WORK IS THE ANSWER TO EVERYTHING
“Anything worth doing is worth overdoing. Moderation is for cowards.”

Maybe you know the feeling. Are you:
- unsure of yourself?
- or undisciplined?
- lacking drive?
- stressed out at the end of the day?
- without a clear goal in front of you?
What if I told you there is one thing that solves 99% of your problems on the spot?
The answer is simple:
Hard work.
Here are 4 reasons why hard work will solve most of your problems. Reliably, and for the long haul!
1. More Energy
Anyone who has served in the Bundeswehr knows this: you work far beyond what is asked of you, and even though it is exhausting, it never feels like a chore.
It turns into a passion, a calling. And that fills your life far more than sitting on the couch all afternoon with no idea what to do with your time.
Successful people are so convinced of what they do and so focused on it that they see the long-term goal in front of them, not the hard work. For them it is a chance to make their vision real, not a “punishment” to get behind them as fast as possible.
“My goal is to become the best instructor in the Bundeswehr,” a sergeant first class of mine once said, and he started every day of duty with exactly that motivation.
That attitude carries into every area of life. We all know it: once you are in “work mode,” the annoying everyday jobs come much easier, while on vacation getting off the couch can be surprisingly hard.
2. Confidence and Respect
It is no secret that successful people are attractive. Their drive and their confidence give them a presence that pulls other people in.
We spend about a quarter of the week at work, and if you see the results of your hard work there every day, you carry that confidence through the rest of your life.
Privately or professionally: you will put up with a lot less, because you know you have the discipline and the willpower that many others do not.
On top of that, as someone the company cannot do without, you will be in a position to demand more for yourself.
And who has ever been in a bad mood after a promotion, a raise or simply an outstanding reference?
3. Fewer Money Worries
One of the obvious reasons. Still, this taboo subject matters more than most of us like to admit.
Anyone under constant stress about money, forced to worry about their financial freedom, cannot enjoy life.
There is almost no problem that money cannot make easier.
Health included: a private ward in the hospital of your choice is a lot less stressful when you don’t have to worry about your financial future.
Change your mindset about work and you stand out among your colleagues, first in line for promotions, raises or even a move into a better paid field.
4. Free Time That Counts
Anyone who works more and works harder will have less free time at first.
That sounds negative, but it is not:
With less free time you plan it better. Time and energy drains like a negative environment, hours of binge-watching or sleeping until 1 p.m. simply have no more room in your life.
You start on your own to value yourself and your time more, and that respect inevitably shows in the way others treat you, as soon as they notice your new attitude.
The financial upside of your hard work also lets you make that time more exciting. Here too, quality beats quantity.
Summary
Only if you give your best every day and start treating your job as a springboard to a full life will you be happy in the long run.
Of course we should not forget that the right counterweight matters too if you want to perform at a high level over a long stretch.
But the world needs people with clear goals. This is not about taking anything away from anyone. It is about creating value for everyone and using your own potential to the full.
Whether you have the discipline for that or would rather get tangled up in excuses is entirely up to you.
Good luck out there!
